Seasons

Sunday it was Spring.
Monday it was Summer.
Tuesday it was Fall.
Wednesday it was Winter.
Today it is Winter.

Ohio is a crazy place.

Winter does always seem to last the longest...

Sports

The bucks lost. but it was just basketball.
The Indians won big on opening day. they won bigger than any other team.
I hope they get it done this year.

One Night

It was winter and cold. I don’t remember what month but the snow was thick, crunchy, and blue from the moon’s light. I remember the feel of the air freezing inside my nostrils with each breath I took into my tired lungs.
Not a cloud in the sky to keep the earth warm. The very cold of space was starting to wrap its hands around me. I could easily move inside but I don’t. I am content to be in the company of Orion.
The only sounds are my slow breaths and the crunch of the snow under my slow steps.
I think of faces that I’ll never see again and voices I’m starting to forget.
I blink slowly. My eyes are dry. My lungs burn with the cold, and my fingertips. My joints tight… I move inside and into a bed… warmed by my wife… sweet and soft… sweet and soft.

Update

Ashlee had her interview and felt really good about it. The guy that interviewed her even said that she nailed the questions and knew things that usually only people with more experience know. so now it is wait and see time but we couldn't feel better about it. so please keep the prayers coming.
God is good.

Ashlee is interviewing for a teaching job at Olentangy Schools in 8 1/2 hours (9:00am) so please pray for her. this would be the perfect job for her/us. so i ask again: please pray.

Spring Brake

It is my hope that now that i have no classes things will slow down for a week. school is such a drain. can i get an amen?
here is a sample list of things that i would like to do before school starts again.
-read something fun
-refinish a coffee table and an end table
-make the weather warmer
-hang out with matt bartley
-really listen to some music

that's my list. i might not get it all done and i'm sure that other things will fill the time. I think that the best part of time off from school is the beginning. when you make all the high and lofty goals of all the things that you want to do like undertaking a comprehensive study of the minor propheits etc. some how you always feel like you'll be able to do it all in one week. but that time mostly gets spent sleeping or infront of the TV. still that first day when you dream of all that could be done is so hopeful and idealistic that first day is a good day.
